Security

Charlotte County Airport recommends that travelers follow the guidelines issued by the airlines with regard to advance check-in.

Most airlines recommend that passengers arrive at the airport 90 minutes prior to departure. Some airlines may stop checking bags up to 30 minutes prior to departure and begin the boarding process earlier in order to comply with these new federal regulations.

Please note:

No unattended vehicles are permitted in front of the terminal. Passengers may be dropped off and baggage unloaded, but the vehicle must absolutely be attended at all times. No exceptions. Violators will be towed. Arriving passengers may be greeted on the public side of the security checkpoint, in baggage claim, or outside the terminal in the parking lot. Access beyond the security checkpoint is limited to passengers with a valid boarding pass and picture I.D. If you have a medical, parental or other specific need to accompany a ticketed passenger, please check at the airline ticket counter to determine how to proceed.
